H&R Block is excited to offer our 2026 Regional Scholarship Program, created specifically for individuals in regional Australia who are eager to learn, good with numbers, and love working with people. Without prior tax experience needed, you’ll get hands-on training through our industry‑recognised Income Tax Course.

A full scholarship is available for 100 successful applicants selected based on a few key criteria. If chosen, you’ll have your entire course fee (a value of $299) waived, giving you the chance to gain skills, meet new people, and potentially join our team at one of our many regional locations across the country.

All applicants for the scholarship program must:

• Be 18 years of age or over;
• Be able to attend one 3-hour Instructor Led workshop at your registered regional location each week for the full 12-week duration of the course, starting Saturday, 21 February 2026;
• Have strong proficient English (both written and verbal); 
• Have completed the Higher School Certificate equivalent school qualification, or be able to demonstrate prior work experience;
• Be available to attend and complete pre-tax season Tax Consultant training in June 2026 as required.
• Be prepared to work as a tax consultant with H&R Block at the completion of course in a local regional location, and available to work flexible hours (including some nights or weekends) between 1 July and 31 October 2026;
• Not be currently working as a tax consultant or tax agent;
• Be willing to undergo a police check.

Selection process:

• All candidates will be contacted within 7 days of submission and may be invited to attend a one-on-one interview.
• Scholarships will be awarded to the candidates based on a combination of meeting the applicant requirements listed above, the interview performance, referee’s statements, and can demonstrate the commitment to learn and work for H&R Block.
