About the Role

As an IT Applications & Data Analyst, you will ensure the smooth operation of business processes by supporting key applications and enabling users to perform their work effectively, as well as designing impactful dashboards to managing and transforming complex data sets.

This is a hands-on role that will see you deep-dive into business applications, partner with internal and external stakeholders, and bring clarity to complex data — all while helping to shape the future of data-driven decision-making at H&R Block.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support and maintain business applications: Keep core systems running smoothly and optimise performance.
• Collaborate with global IT teams and vendors: Provide feedback and contribute to process and software improvements.
• Analyse complex data sets: Extract insights from various sources to support reporting and strategic decisions.
• Build dashboards and performance reports: Design visual tools that clearly communicate trends and business metrics.
• Ensure data integrity and security: Follow data governance best practices and maintain confidentiality protocols.
• Design and document workflows: Map business processes, assess impacts of change, and assist with training materials and documentation.

About You

• Qualifications in IT, Data Analytics, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication skills — you can translate tech to non-tech with ease.
• Proficiency in SQL and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
• Experience in data modelling and database design.
• Exposure to Salesforce Apex datasets or similar CRM systems is a bonus.
• Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
