About the Role:

Are you a seasoned bookkeeping professional with a knack for leadership and a passion for client service? H&R Block is looking for a dynamic Bookkeeping Services Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will coordinate jobs and client activities, ensuring our clients receive exceptional services. You will also manage and support our Bookkeeping and client administration teams, providing technical leadership and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and efficient bookkeeping support to clients.
  • Onboard new and existing client engagements and manage end-of-job compilations.
  • Lead and train the Bookkeeping and Administration teams.
  • Oversee client BAS/IAS lodgments and manage ASIC annual reviews/forms.
  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements/Instalment Activity Statements.
  • Process payroll/STP and reconcile client ledgers and ATO accounts.
  • Ensure high standards of service and technical proficiency within the team.
  • Monitor job progress, completion, and adherence to budgets and productivity targets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (minimum Cert. IV; Bachelor’s degree highly regarded).
  • Professional association membership (CPA, CA, ICB, or ABA) and registered BAS Agent.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in bookkeeping and admin roles
  • Previous experience managing a team.
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills.
